Hello. It’s Kiki again.
The humans say it’s the holiday season, which means three things:
There are more people.
There are more bags.
Everyone is asking, “What’s a good gift?”
I don’t understand wrapping paper, but I do understand what feels good to live with.
So here is my list.
Not loud things.
Not squeaky things.
Just things I like being around.
🕯️ Things That Belong in the House (According to Me)
Heavy ceramic bowls
They don’t move when I eat. Very respectful.
Linen or canvas dog beds
They smell like home quickly. This is important.
A real treat jar
Not a bag. A jar. The sound matters.
📖 Things the Humans Look At While I Nap
Books about dogs
Not training books. The other kind.
The ones with pictures and quiet pages.
The humans turn the pages slowly.
I like that.
🧣 Things for Walks (My Favorite Activity)
Soft scarves for humans
They move nicely in the wind.
Leather or canvas leashes
They feel calm in your mouth. (I mean hand. Probably.)
Simple totes
No loud zippers. No crinkly pockets.
🐾 One Thing I Always Reach For
This one is familiar to me.
It doesn’t flap too much.
It doesn’t itch.
It smells like us.
The humans call it a storybook dog bandana.
I just know it’s one of the things that always comes back out — year after year.
They say it’s from Peyton Blue, but I think what matters more is that it’s made to stay.
It lives by the door.
Sometimes on me.
Sometimes folded neatly.
I like things that know where they belong.
(If you’re curious, the humans keep my favorites together in a place called Kiki’s Faves.)
🐶 Toys That Don’t Scream
Natural rubber toys
They last longer. I respect that.
Wool toys
Soft. Carry-able. Good listeners.
🎁 My Rule About Gifts
The best gifts:
Stay near the door
Get used often
Feel familiar quickly
They don’t disappear after the holidays.
They don’t need instructions.
They just become part of life.
That’s all from me.
It’s time for a walk now.
Love,
Kiki 🐾
